A talk with QVC host Richard Jackson

I’ve got a Mr Plant Geek announcement to make, in the form of an introduction to the new ‘QVC Hub‘ on this site. There, you can read up on lots of the super exciting work I’m doing as a gardening expert with QVC. I’ve had a great few weeks settling into my role. I can’t wait for my shows later on in April 2018. Not to mention, I’m raring to get started on some exciting new offline projects.

A talk with QVC host Richard Jackson

If you’ve been following my work with the channel, I hope you’ve enjoyed the shows that we’ve produced so far. You might even have noted some of the small enhancements we’ve made. Leave me a comment to let me know what you’re loving!

I certainly can’t forget to mention QVC presenter Richard Jackson, though. Richard has been a big support to me ever since my first show way back (probably almost 10 years ago!). I still come to him for lots of tips and advice. I’m looking forward to working with him, and the rest of the QVC presenters, into the future.

As an idea for my very first vlog with QVC, I wanted to show a different side to Richard that you may not have seen on TV. Excitingly, I was given permission to interview him ‘uncut’ – so the vlog wasn’t at all scripted! Personally, I think you’ll enjoy seeing more of his personality when he’s not on camera.

In the video, which you can view below, I’m doing some digging into Richard’s past. I find out more about why he does what we does, which plants he first grew, what he thought of me when I first arrived, and why he often carries around a ‘banana handbag’ (yes, you read that right!).

If you enjoyed this video, please let me know in the comments section! And if you love it, why not share it on social media? You can find me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
