Roof design

Roofs are usually the last things we think about when it comes to spending money on our homes. As long as you have a robust roof over your head, it upholds its purpose. In fact, most of the time, we’ll only spend money on a roof if the worst happens (storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin come to mind) and it becomes damaged.

When was the last time you looked at a roof and thought, ‘That’s a great roof’? Probably never, right? Let me ask you a different question: have you ever looked at a roof and thought ‘That roof needs a clean’? Although we never think to comment on a clean roof in good repair, a clearly weather-beaten roof can actually have a big impact on the appearance of a house – and people do notice. Not only that, but heavy mould, lichen and algae can cause damage to a roof and even create drainage problems.

If you’re house proud – or garden proud, as your roof is really part of your outdoor space – cleaning the roof every once in a while can make a lot of difference to your curb appeal. And if you’re finding it difficult to clean it due to limited access, here’s the ideal tool to get a ravishing roof.

Wet & Forget Rapid – clean your roof the easy way

Blast away mould, lichen and algae from your roof with Wet & Forget’s Rapid Moss, Mould, Lichen and Algae Remover. A two-litre bottle can cover up to 200 square metres and reach up to eight metres high with the included sniper nozzle (yes, it’s as cool as it sounds).

Wet & Forget

There’s no ladder needed with this product. Simply attach the nozzle to your hose, and the product will automatically mix in with the water, giving the exact dilution rate – no measuring needed.

You don’t even need to worry if you’re a little iffy with your aim – Wet & Forget has a pH level of 8, and UK tap water has a pH level of between 6.5 to 9.5, so it won’t damage other surfaces. It also contains zero bleach and is non-caustic. It works with the wind and rain to decompose mould, lichen and algae, and remove it from your roof.

It works on many other areas of your home too! You can whip off the sniper nozzle and use the spray nozzle to cover larger areas, like patios, driveways and walls. It really is a do-it-all product that can drastically improve the appearance of your home exterior with little effort and in no time at all.
