Dahlia LaBella

Dahlias are amongst many gardener’s top favourite blooms, and they come in a wide range of colours. However, while this amount of choice is initially what attracts many gardeners, in reality it can actually make it difficult to decide which shades to choose for your garden.

When I visited Beekenkamp Plants in the Netherlands, I discovered their helpful dahlia colour palette quiz, which allows you to choose your ideal range of shades based on some personality questions. Isn’t that cute?

My style of dahlia is LaBella Earth: natural, authentic and feral with lots of dark browns and natural colours. The LaBella Earth series is – as you guessed it – an earthy palette with red-browns, warm peaches, golden yellows and creamy whites.

However, it’s not just about the dahlia shades. Beekenkamp displayed this collection with lots of natural materials like stone containers, reclaimed decor pieces and mixed textures.
