Grass lions and tigers, and bears, oh my! Anyone who was following the social media updates on this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show will recognise these rather fun grass animals!

Easigrass leads the way in innovation and design in the artificial grass market, and continues to fashion some of the most unique and creative products available. Gertrude The Cow, designed by Easigrass for London’s St Patrick’s Day Parade, inspired the creation of the Easi-Animal Zoo after an overwhelming reaction from the public to the artificial grass animal!

From life-sized horses, lions, tigers and gorillas, to cuddly bears and unicorns, Easigrass animals are available for purchase or rent. Easigrass specialise in bespoke designs and will create any size creature – real or mythical – by request.

Easigrass supplied and installed a sensory garden, complete with Easi-Animals, designed to assist those with dementia at a care home in Devon last year. Creating a stimulating yet therapeutic environment for those with dementia is proven to have a positive impact on emotional and mental health, as well as promote a sense of well-being and comfort.

The year-round sensory garden at Silverleigh Care Home in Axminster includes the grass covered Easi-Gazebee, a safe, non-slip synthetic lawn, together with Easigrass animals.  People with dementia can easily become disorientated and forget where they are going or coming from. It was important to design a garden to provide orientation through visual clues, and somewhere that maintained its look and familiarity.

The Easigrass garden offers stimulating sensory experience in terms of sight and touch with a soft texture of artificial grass covering all areas. The fun and unique animal additions include a horse, sheep, cow, hares, a giraffe, and the famous Easigrass cuddly bear. Easi-Animals have proven to be the ultimate stars of the garden, of course, and many of the residents love to hug, stroke and sit with the grass creatures.

Easi-Animals have also appeared at a number of high profile events – most recently as a charity education feature at the WWT London Wetland Centre. Visitors to the centre in Barnes, South West London during May met some exciting new additions to the wildlife, including an artificial grass water buffalo, hippo, camel, elephant bear and giraffe. The Wetlands charity approached Easigrass after seeing some Easi-Animals displayed at the launch of the Barnes Film Festival last year, and were particularly won over by the charismatic artificial grass hippo.

The Easi-Animal collection became one of the most photographed features of the 2017 Chelsea Flower Show, with appearances in newspapers, magazines and social media selfie shots across the globe.  The Easi-Animals range continues to grow, and, judging by the warm reaction to all the Easi-Animal collection at Hampton Court Flower Show this year, they look set to be adopted by animal-lovers across the UK for the foreseeable future.
